Jing as an Online Teaching Resource
On the right side of the page you'll notice a links list of Teaching Resources, including the newly added Jing and Screencast tools. I was introduced to Jing by a colleague who provided students with an overview of a Syllabi/Assignment through Jing videos which are easy to develop and share with a class or internet visitors. Jing is great for going over sections of a syllabi, guidelines for an assignment, and as an audio visual tool for lesson plans that a teacher or instructor can use for online or onsite courses. Its especially useful for elaborating on certain instructions and providing clarification to students that may further clarification on assignments/tasks. The websites will provide you with easy to understand tutorials on how to set it up and use. I utilize the Screencast tool for posting the Jing videos which can be shared privately or publicly. With an exception to a couple of questions I had the application was very easy to learn and start using. Got a video together on the first shot and shared it in time for an upcoming discussion. Here is the link where I downloaded Jing and a link to Screencast which you'll need to upload the videos so that they can be shared as links or embedded.
